Another Tax Controversy For Trudeau Government

"Wrongheaded"........That reaction from Jim Cormier of the Retail Council of Canada in the Atlantic region about employee discounts being taxed.

Cormier says the workers who will be hurt financially aren't making a whole lot of money to begin with and employers, unless they have an army of accountants, may just decide to get rid of the employee discounts altogether because tracking them will be an administrative nightmare and not worth the hassle.

Cormier is hoping the Trudeau Government doesn't allow this interpretation of what constitutes taxable income by the Canada Revenue Agency to stand because the people who will be hurt financially are those Prime Minister Trudeau vowed to champion.
