Local veterans are being honoured in a unique way in the Town of Clark's Harbour and the Municipality of Barrington.
Photos of veterans have been placed on utility poles.
The faces represent veterans of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War and are printed on a vinyl banner by a local business.
The project was initiated by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148 in, Clark’s Harbour.
President David Cleaver tells Acadia News they thought at first maybe a dozen people would be interested.
"As it turned out we got a response of 54 people interested in these banners and indeed, now that they are in place, we're starting to get orders for next year."
Cleaver says many people asked that a banner be placed on poles adjacent to residences or locations that had a special meaning to a particular veteran.
He credits Legion member Lynne Atkinson with making all the arrangements for the banners.
They will remain on display until after Remembrance Day.
