RCMP Respond To Horse Buggy Collision In Lunenburg

No one was hurt when a horse buggy collided with a Lunenburg business.

Lunenburg RCMP responded to a complaint of the collision at around 12:50 Sunday afternoon.

It's believed a horse with Trot In Time Buggy Rides became spooked and took off running with passengers on board, first hitting a parked vehicle and then crashing into a glass window at Subway.

Neither the driver or passengers were hurt.

According to a Facebook post by Trot In Time, the horse was seen to by a local vet and received several stitches.

The company addressed the matter in a statement on their Facebook page.

"We appreciate the concern from the people of Lunenburg and local area after the event that unfolded today.

We are looking further into the incident on Montague Street. Our wonderful horse was seen by the local vet, received a few stitches and will be given extra care and love over the coming days. As we continue to look into this we will make any adjustments to ensure the ongoing safety of all concerned," reads the statement.

The RCMP investigation is ongoing.
